February 15th, 2013
My entire adoptive family knew by now and they were all soooo supportive about everything. I couldn't have asked for a better reaction. My older sister and I had been talking about when I would be able to go back out to Utah and meet my Bio-Family. I knew it wasn't going to be for a while due to my current financial situation and she could tell how upset I was by that. She came back with the idea of setting up and online fundraiser to help me get a plane ticket home.
I couldn't believe how fast it worked. In 3 hours we raised $400! After fees and stuff, it was just enough to cover my ticket! I was beyond ecstatic when I heard the news. (side note: i would just like to, again, thank those people who donated from the bottom of my heart. It's because of you that i'm able to meet my birthmother after 21 years. THANK YOU!)
My flight leaves on February 25th and I can't wait to finally meet the woman who had to make the hard decision of giving me a better life with the wonderful family I have grown up with. I Love You All sooo much :)

This just warmed my heart. I feel like I've known u forever after reading ur story. Congratulations hun. :)
Hey Darlin',
That is just so great. I hope your reunion is everything you hope iy will be. I still remember meeting my bio-Mom for the 1st timeafter she flew me into L.A. I couldn't stop looking at her. We looked so much alike nd I'd never looked like anyone before! It's an emotionally charged experience. Her parents lived much closer to me; driving distance. I got stopped speeding....(twice!) riving up to meet them the 1st time! Good luck and have fun :)
This is great Tyler
...however I am bawling again....my fellow employees are going to think that is all I do is cry lately...so excited for you and love you buddy!!
I have seen many of the photos on Facebook like the one you put up, from people trying to find their birth parents, and always wondered if it worked out. At least in your case it did! Good luck to both of you, and your families. One can never have too many people who love them!
I am thrilled for you, Tyler! love aunt Ann
OMG congrat's on finding your birth mom this brought me to tear's
I don't understand why is it so important for you to find the woman
who gave you...
You have a family (not by blood but by heart) and they love you ...
Family is not "blood relationships" ....
I'm adopted , I know my history,
also I've meet the person who gave me, and believe me I don't care
about that person at all (my biological mother)...
I don't hate her either, but I don't love her att all, for me my Mother is the one that adopted me, is the one that loved me all my life, the one who took care of me when I was sick,
the one I wanted to hug when I was sad ...
We don't share blood, but I love her , she is my mother, and I love her even more because she could love me even though I wasn't her
biological daughter...
I really don't care about blood...
and I don't understand why some many are obsessed to find people who gave them up ... Instead of loving with all your hear the ones that choose to be with you .... Even friends can be a better family
that the ones related by blood...
Anyway im happy for you if it was your dream to find her :)
Greetings!
A girl from the other side of the world ....
(sorry for my bad english! ^^) ...

SO happy for you I sent you a message this morning on fb how I found my birth parents helpful hints on what I did. My parents are the people who raised me I love them. My birthparents really don't mean much to me at all but I found I have sisters that means everything to me I love my sisters like I had know them my whole life.
Good luck. Hope you have a wonderful reunion. Many blessings to you and your family.
She is a wonderful lady who I have worked with for many years. So happy for both of you!
as a bio-mom who made that same heart wrenching decision in 1990 I am so happy you have such an open heart ... I was lucky I got to watch my daughter grow up ... lucky in that her parents raised her always knowing myself and my family and always loving me as her bio-mom. congratulations on finding your bio-mom and I hope you find what you're wanting !!! Sincerely Jamie Yruegas/a bio-mom

I am a birth mother of 6 years, and I couldn't be happier! Mine is a very open adoption fortunately, but I love hearing stories like yours. It reminds me of how much we birth moms truly are loved. Thank you, and I"m so glad you met them! Now your family is even bigger!
