Meeting Her

All right. I have a weeks worth of stuff to go over hope your all ready :) Monday (2-25-13)was the day I flew out to Utah. Derrick and two of our friends drove the 2 hours to get me to the airport in the morning. They were awesome and I'm so glad I can call them friends. My flights were uneventful, however I did have a 3 hour delay in Denver which drove me basically insane. Anyway, my little brother and sister, Jaren and Rachel, who I had grown up with, met me at the airport to drive me back. We had almost gotten out of the airport and onto the freeway when Jaren had to use the bathroom so we turned right around and went back to the airport lol. On our way home we got diverted off the freeway and had to take backroads the last 15 miles. By this point all I was thinking about was sleep. We finally made it home, I saw my Mom, talked for a bit, and said goodnight. Tuesday (2-26-13). I woke up suuuupppeerrrrr nervous. This was the day I would finally meet my birthmom. We had made plans to meet up with her and my newfound grandma at a restaurant on 12th street in Ogden. My mom, dad, and I got ready and set out. By this time I wanted to throw up from all the butterflies. When we pulled into the parking lot I had so many emotions going through me I couldn't keep track of how I felt. All I knew was that i felt sick. As we walked into the airlock of the restaurant, I heard my mom say "there she is". I looked through the window to my right and my birthmom was staring right at me. I think my stomach flew into my throat for a second or two. We went around the corner and hugged and then I hugged my new grandma. Nobody cried, I think we were all dried up from earlier in the week and now we were just excited. We got sat and the parents proceeded to talk about everything that had been going on with my adoption and the whole thing. We looked at baby books while we ate until my dad had to say goodbye so he could go to work. My birthmom asked me what i wanted to do so I told her I wanted to meet my new brother Talon. My mom and dad left and I jumped in the car with my birthmom and grandma. We are all kinda shy so it wasn't the most talkative drive but that suited me just fine :). We made it to the house and parked in the garage. I was waiting outside the door and my birthmom said "Talons probably going to freak out if you keep him waiting" lol so I opened the door and went in. It was crazy!! He walked up to me and gave me a big hug. Seeing my features in another guy is so much different in person than in pictures haha He and i had been talking constantly since I found them/they found me, so it wasn't akward at all (phew). We sat down at the counter and talked for a sec but trying to keep Talon from his laptop is a uphill battle. lol He wanted to show me all the music he was working on and it was awesome! I could never do what he does with it, it's insane how talented he is. So we sat there and he showed me how he puts it all together and I wasn't bored for a second. Momma B(birthmom) was sitting at the table talking whenever Talon took a breath :). AFter a while though it was time to pick up my bio-sister Jayden from school! We all jumped into Talons car and took off. Again, seeing yourself in another person is such a surreal experience. Her and a friend got in the car and we drove to drop off her friend. After that, we had already decided to go to the Pizza Factory for lunch. Talons girlfriend (Caitlyn) is a server there so I was anxious to meet her since she would be hanging out with us that week too :) Momma B got pasta, Jayden got a personal pizza, and Talon and I shared a medium 'Chicken and jalapeno with Barbecue sauce' pizza. We have the same taste on some things I guess. It was real good. Caitlyn was really nice. She was almost done when we got there so she rode with us on the way back to the house. A little later, we decided to go back to Clearfield so they could meet Jaren and Rachel :) Everyone was kind of shy but it was still fun. Momma B, Talon, Jayden, and Caitlyn took off after that to get some sleep. I stayed up talking for a little bit but eventually wandered to my room where I had the best nights sleep of my life. Part of it was from all the excitement and emotions that day, another part was that this giant hole or empty space inside me that I didn't know why it was there,was finally closed up. It was an amazing day.
