February 14th, 2013 A.K.A. THE DAY

I woke up so anxious on the morning of Valentines day. I checked facebook and was SHOCKED to find so many friend requests and messages from strangers wanting to wish me luck and help me out in any way they could. It was all overwhelming at first so I decided to take a break and go donate some life savin Plasma. lol. While I was there i told myself that I wasn't going to check my facebook or emails until I got home. That lasted about 5 minutes so I went on my phone to find that my shares were nearing 1700!! I couldn't believe how fast it had gotten around. I had people in states all over the country getting ahold of me to tell me where they had shared my picture. I was touched. I checked everything and put away my phone until I was back home and on my computer. I turned on my computer when I got home and as it booted up, I went into my spare bedroom to mess around on my keyboard for a few minutes...which turned into about 45 minutes. I shut off my keyboard and went back into the kitchen where the laptop was. I logged in Facebook and saw I had 2 new messages. I clicked on my messages icon and the first email I saw was from a kid named Talon, I was about to click on it thinking it was just another stranger wishing me luck when I happened to glance at the name of the message above. It read Lorraine Done Linscomb. I had no idea what Done & Linscomb had to do with it but I knew my birthmothers name was Lorraine. I told myself to not freak out, that it was just a coincidence. I opened the message and Lo-and-Behold it was my birthmom. She told me things in that email that only she could have known. The second I finished that email, it was like my eyelids had been holding back Niagra Falls for 21 years. I called my adoptive mom and asked her to confirm a few things and when she did, it brought on a whole new wave of tears and she started too as well. We sat there trying to talk to eachother through our blubbering for a good 10 minutes when I realized the time was getting close for when I had to get ready for work. We said our goodbyes and I dialed the number to call my manager to see if I could get the night off. There was noway I could function in the condition I was in. I found out that someone had already called in that night so I regrettably had to go work after just finding this out. Fortunately I was able to make it through. My Birthmom and I exchanged phone numbers and we text eachother til the early hours of the morning. Then we said goodnight and I had the best nights sleep of my life. (side note: Talon turned out to be my awesome brother who was just as excited as I was that I had found them) :)
