D-Day

Tuesday (3-5-13) This morning, Momma A woke me up at 4:45am because I wanted to go to her Plasma appointment with her at 5:15am. We got dressed and left. Turned out she had to reschedule for later that day because they couldn't verify some of her information until later. So I had woken up at the ass crack of dawn for no reason. When we had left the house that morning however, Momma A was walking down our front steps and slipped on some ice on the bottom step. She kept saying it hurt really bad but we wrote it off as she had twinged or pinched a nerve for a little bit. Until it started to get worse... she works at a clinic soo she decided to go in early and have it X-Rayed before work, turns out she had actually broked her leg when she fell. :/. Awesome way to start the day no? I felt so bad for her, and was mad that I had to leave and wouldn't be able to help out until she was all mended. After she had gone to work, It was time for me to go meet my older sister Kim for breakfast at a restaurant next to the airport so I could just head out when I needed to. Jaren took me so we met up with Kim, her husband TJ, and my Niece and Nephew and talked, took pictures and ate a little until it was time for me to leave. We said our goodbyes and it was hard (have i mentioned I don't do well with goodbyes?). Jaren drove me to the airport. He got out, came over and gave me a big hug and that was it. He drove away and I was back on my own, fighting my way through the crowd at the airport. I got through security just fine, boarded my plane. I had a Layover in Denver, Colorado, then boarded my last plane back to Milwaukee. I had been nervous about the last flight because they were having a storm right over Wisconsin when I was supposed to be flying in. The plane landed safely at 6:00pm and I got off. I text Derrick who was supposed to be there to pick me up, he called me and told me that they were stuck in a city 1 hour away(nice weather) because the roads were so bad. So I was stranded. he eventually text me to tell me that they were going to slowly start making their way toward me again so I didn't need to get a hotel for the night. I was starving by that point so I decided to stop at a 'Chilis Too' they had at the airport to get food and kill some time. It was actually really good haha. I got done with that and went out into the main part of the airport. I sat down and only then realized how utterly exhausted I was. I kept falling asleep in my chair and jerking awake everytime an airport announcement came over the intercom. Just after 9pm, Derrick text me saying they were just about to get to the airport so I headed outside and was so relieved to see their car pull up. I got in and we headed out only to determine the roads were too dangerous so we went to his sisters, who lives in Milwaukee thank goodness, and spent the night until we made it home early the next morning. This vacation was the most amazing experience. I will never forget how it felt to meet my birthmom after 21 years of not knowing. Thank you to everyone who helped make this entire thing happen. Without you I could still have been sitting here wondering who she was. You made it possible to find a whole new family that I can't wait to get to know more and more. I love you all so much. Monday (3-4-13) When I woke up on Monday, Momma B wanted to take me to go see her brother (my new uncle) who lived in North Ogden. The whole way, Her and Jayden kept telling me that he didn't like to talk much and to not be offended if he doesn't say much of anything. I'm not a huge talker so naturally I was nervous that it was going to be a huuge Akwardfest. We got to his house, he let us, and then he started talking about anything and everything haha. For not liking to talk much he sure had a big set of lungs on him. It was awesome. He asked me questions and just made me feel comfortable bein around him which is pretty hard to do. We talked for a little bit then set off to pick up Dustin from the house and got meet Talon and his friend Jason at Burger Bar for lunch since I had never been there. It was so freakin good. I you ever go to the area, check it out. AFter lunch, Talon went with his friend to help him move into his new apartment, so Momma B, Dustin, Jayden and I took off. Jayden had been talking about these Rootbeer shakes from a certain place so we went over that way to get one. On the way, Momma B showed me where they used to live and it was really cool seeing just again proof of how close we had been for 21 years :). After we got the shakes and drinks and the gas station, we went back to the house to BS the rest of the night. On our way, Grandma called us and wanted to meet us there to hangout and say goodbye since I flew out in the morning. We all hung out at the house for a bit but Grandma had to leave after a bit (not before helping me beat some levels on a game I was stuck on on my phone lol). We said goodbye again for the last time and she left. We wanted to put all of the pictures we had taken onto flash drives so we could both have a copy of them. Only problem was, I didn't own a Flash drive. So Dustin being the awesome guy he is, offered to drive me to walmart and buy me my own flash Drive. He convinced me it was okay saying they needed some anyways haha. We got back to the house and he started downloading all the pictures onto the Flash for me. By that time, Talon had come home from work and so we talked for a little bit longer. But too soon, it was time for me to say goodbye to everyone :'( that was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through. I gave Talon and Jayden a hug goodbye. Jayden was starting to cry and when I looked at Talon his eyes were getting watery which of course made me start to water up so I decided I had to leave now or I would never leave. I said goodbye one last time and went to get in Momma B's car. It was a semi quiet drive back to my house. We made light conversation but we could feel the goodbye in the air. It was terrible. I got back to the house and ran inside to grab something for Momma B. I walked up to her and we gave eachother a big hug. She told me how much she was going to miss me and all too soon we had to stop. Dustin had driven us and he came over and gave me a hug. I told him how awesome it was to meet him and I looked forward to seeing them all again. I looked back as Momma B got in the car and she started to cry as they pulled away. I made it into the house and was almost too my room when it finally sank it that I wasn't going to see them again for a while. I couldn't hold it back anymore and I started bawling, I'm not a crier so it kind of scared me. I went into Momma A's room where she was sleeping and woke her up. She gave me a hug and sat with me until I was cried out. By that time, my sister Rachel had come in and she gave me a hug and it made me feel a bit better. I sat there for a little longer then i let Momma A get back to sleep and I went to my room. I laid down and slowly dozed off to sleep thinking back on what an amazing experience this had been and wishing it could have been longer. One week is not nearly enough time to get to know a whole new family.

Sunday (3-3-13) Today was Talon and Tyler day. I met Talon at Village Inn in Ogden for breakfast. We talked alot about how we felt when we found out about the other one and it was really awesome to hear him say some of the things he did :) We jumped in his car after and drove around talking for a little bit until we decided to go BS around the mall. We both had forgotten how boring that mall was so we didn't stay long at all lol We went back to his house and we worked on some more of his songs (well, he worked on his songs. I watched in awe haha), until it was time for him to get ready for work. We said goodbye knowing this was the last time we would be able to hangout. It was actually super sad. After Talon left, Momma B asked me if I would like to go to Grandmas to hangout and see her before I had to go back to Wisconsin. Of course I said yes so her, Dustin, Jayden and I got in the car and headed over. We ate talked, ate dinner, and talked some more :) I wasn't boring for a second. I really enjoyed spending time with my new grandma :) Not before too long though, it was time to say goodbye :/ I am not good with goodbyes at all so it really sucked to say bye after just being able to meet her. I had driven Momma A's car over so they all left and headed back home. My friend Kimberlee had invited me over to watch a movie with a few other friends so I headed that way. When i got there however, she was really upset about something so I convinced her that she needed some Cherry Berry so she and I drove over to get some Frozed yogurt and see Talon! We hung out and talked for a little bit and it seemed to have cheered her up which was the whole point so I counted it as a success :). We said goodbye to Talon and drove back to her apartment. Hung out for a little bit longer then we said our goodbyes :/ (again with the stupid goodbye thing) and I headed home to get some sleep for my last day in Utah.

Saturday (3-2-13) Today was the day I wanted to spend some time alone with my new little sister Jayden. I picked her up at 1 and we decided that we wanted to go bowling so we would be able to talk (if that was possible, we are both super shy lol). We went to Fat Cats in ogden and got set up for 2 games. Those were the two fastest games of my life. Bowling with 2 people makes the games fly by haha Her and I were gone for about an hour when we had finished up and were headed home. The weather wasn't the greatest that day so we couldn't find anything else to do that didn't cost a fortune. :/. We went back to Momma B's house to BS until I headed back to my house in clearfield at 4pm to help Momma A get ready for our big family get together we were having that night. She had just got back from the store when I got home so I helped her chop up veggies and what not. My older sister Kim arrived with her husband and two kids first. Then came Momma B, her awesome husband Dustin, Grandma, and Jayden :) We all sat down and it was probably the funnest night. There was no akwardness at all, it was amazing! My dad, who had been in Vegas on a job for the week, rolled in around 7pm and was able to meet everyone. Right after he got there, my Uncle Brian, his girlfriend and her daughter came over. It was awesome seeing all my family together. We sat there and talked and talked until we decided it was time to go visit my brother Talon at the Cherry Berry where he worked that night. My uncle let me drive the Jaguar he had recently bought....wow... loved it!! lol. We got to Cherry Berry and I was standing in line with my dad when I introduced him to Talon. He gave him a handshake and the first thing he did was look at me and say "Wow! You two have the same exact handshake!" So Talon and I shoook hands so we could know how it felt to shake hands with ourselves haha it was so random that it was hilarious. Talon went on break when we got there so he came over and sat with us and talked to my dad. I introduced him to everyone (a.k.a showed him off haha). It was really fun, the frozen yogurt was super good too so that helped. Once Talons break was over, everybody was finishing up their dessert so we all decided to leave. Everyone went home after that except Momma B, Dustin, and Jayden. They came back to our house and talked until midnight :) Dustin ended up volunteering to fix our ice maker in my parents freezer, my dad was thrilled haha they went home at about 12:15 and I headed straight to bed. It had been a long day.

Friday (3-1-13) So my older sister Kim had been through my entire adoption process and she was the only one of my siblings that my birthmom knew of for a while. My birthmom actually requested that when I was taken from her by the social worker, that I was given to Kim first. My birthmom only knew her as "Blondie" though, it was all so secretive. They wrote letters to eachother after my adoption and when I finally found my birthmom on Valentines day, "Blondie" was right there messaging her, talkin her ear off haha So naturally she wanted to meet her really bad so we decided that today would be the perfect day to get together and go out to lunch :) My Birthmom Lorraine, Talon, Jayden and Caitlyn met Kim(Blondie), her two kids, and me, met at a Red Robin by my house. It was a really cool experience for them to be able to get together and talk in person. Talon and Caityln had to leave after not too long to get ready for work. Right after they took off, we decided to continue the meeting process back at my house in Clearfield. While we were talking, I invited my best friend Kimberlee over because both her and my birthmom had been wanting to meet eachother. AFter a little bit, Momma A got home from work, it was still weird to see both Momma A & Momma B in the same room together haha. The talking kind of died down after a bit so Momma B and Jayden decided to go home. Kimberlee and I still wanted to hang out so we drove around for a bit, then when we got hungry, we went to The Rib Shack where she had just recently started as a second job :) We decided to call it a night afterwards so she drove me home and promised i'd see her atleast one more time before i had to leave. I had been wanting to go to walmart and buy a Radio Transmitter for my music on my phone since i got there because my moms car didn't have a AUX jack or anything and i didn't have any CD's. So my brother Jaren volunteered to go along and it was nice being able to spend a little bit of time with just him and me.

Thursday (2-28-13) Today was a very simple yet super fun day. When I woke up, I wanted to help Momma A out and clean up the kitchen. It felt good just bein there by myself, crankin the music and just getting in the cleaning zone. When I was done cleaning, Momma B and Jayden came to pick me up and we went to my Bio-Grandmas house where i got to see where my Birthmom had grown up. It was a really great time and I spent the rest of the day there with them :)

Wednesday (2-27-13) One of the biggest worries I had about this trip was that my siblings Jaren, Rachel, and Kim would feel like I had new brothers and sisters and wouldn't need them anymore. I could NEVER not need them. They have been with me through all the crap that has gone on in my life. They are my brother and sisters. Forever. Nothing will ever change that. The only thing different is now I have 2 more to add to the family :) Anyway, I wanted to take Jaren and Rachel out to lunch for some sibling bonding time to show them that I still "wanted" them. On my way, I swung by and grabbed Momma A(Lynda) from work so she could go to lunch with us too. Momma A, Jaren and I went to Rachels' school and checked her out then headed over to Buffalo Wild Wings out by the mall. It was a great time. We talked and laughed (mostly about Jaren and the hostess he had made-out with, but that's another story). Momma A paid for it (I forgot how good it felt to not have to pay for a change). After lunch, I dropped everyone back off at work/school and called the Best friend in the entire world...drum roll....Kimberlee Rowsell!! I don't know what I would do without that girl. We went on a date to the movies at the Centerville megaplex which I had never been too so I was super excited! after we got back, we went to my families storage unit to find the Silver Bell which I was going to switch with my birthmom. (She had a match to the pair). AFter we found that, we went out to dinner at Red Robin where I was able to meet her boyfriend that I had only heard about. Our friend Mike met us there too. We ate and then made our way to Nicklecade in Ogden, I had only been there once an extrememly long time ago so i forgot what it was like. Soon as i started playing I realized why I didn't go there alot... I suck! lol. Kim and her boyfriend had like 1000 tickets, I had 190. Not the best but I was able to get some candy lol We cashed in our tickets and then said our goodbyes Mike and Kims boyfriend. We then drove up the road to meet up with my brother Talon and his girlfriend Caitlyn. We met them at a Wendys where he proceeded to disgrace the Frosty by dipping spicy chicken nuggets into it while forcing me to try the nastiness...smh. *sigh* After we said goodbye to those two, she drove us to 7-11 so we could get Slurpees!!!! Haven't had one since I moved to Wisconsin so i was pretty pumped. It was amazing. It was getting late after we were done with our Slurpees so we decided to call it a night. She dropped me off at the house and I promptly fell asleep.
